Port

Camera geek alert:
Don't know why it took me so long to realize that the D800 can sync up to 1/400th in DX and 1/320 in FX.  Not that I needed fast sync speed here but good to know outdoors where increases in shutter speed makes your flash appear that much more powerful via using wider open aperture.  This was at 1/320 in DX shot single off camera flash set to manual 1/4 power.  Great thing about manual 1/4 vs iTTL is the flash can shoot all day at 5fps.  Also, since the camera doesn't control the flash based on distance, you get much more depth in room lighting.  iTTL is really hard to justify using unless distance of the subject is just moving way too fast.
