UCLA Recognizes Judi Kaufman

Last Monday, Dec 13th, UCLA Hospital recognized Jennifer's mom, Judi Kaufman, for the 13 years she has raised funds for UCLA Neuro-Oncology.  Judi started Art of the Brain, her fund raising charity, after her first surgery for brain cancer.  Since the start, Art of the Brain has raised over $5 Million dollars towards research to find a cure for brain cancer.  Present was the dean of UCLA Medicine, A. Eugen Washington, director of UCLA's Neuro-Oncology, Dr. Timothy Cloughesy, folks from long time sponsor The Johnny Mercer Foundation, Brain Buddies, and supporters including friends, family, and researchers.  Although this event was put together by UCLA to recognize Judi's tireless fight to support brain cancer research, for most all us there, it was a celebration of knowing and being touched by the force of life that is Judi Kaufman.  Judi knows that brain cancer will eventually succumb to life.

Holiday Program 2011

Fun program at school.  Both boys did really well with the audience present.  Grandpa, they might need agents, ha!  Jennifer is the best talent holder ever.

This year, we put the Flip on a tripod and that kept things steady and allowed us to enjoy the show at the same time, a luxury in this media heavy age.

Gym Party

Kids had fun at a classmate's 3rd Birthday party at a local gym.  S was his usual fearless self and surprisingly, G was also channeling his inner Evil Knievel albeit on a plastic worm.
