Japan 8 - Hakone to Tokyo

Hiro is also a photographer and business man.  The next day he was going to a board meeting for his company

Hiro had an amazing amount of information

Hundred year old sign

Hakone Open Air Museum, an amazing museum in the middle of such a rural location

Then at the end, a two story building filled with Picassos, amazing!

So happy G tried the onsen at the hotel.  It was open air, facing a forest hill, and that day, it rained.  Quite a nice intro to his first hot bath.  And happy to get some Konbini breakfast food.

I think they had fun

Bought some lenses on this trip.  One in Kyoto and one in Tokyo.  Exchange rate was in our favor.

Checked out a Tokyo Giants vs Tokyo Swallows.  This was super fun and seemed more like a european football match than a baseball game.  Only girls sold beer and food in the stand.  Bring your drums and trumpets because you'll be singing all night.  Train station drops you off 400ft from the stadium.  Transportation is so easy in Tokyo.

Checked out the imperial palace in Tokyo, the new capital.

Very strict and not necessary clearly outlined rules

Contrasts

Always a dragon coming up or going back into water to protect the wooden structures which are implied to be underwater and thus protected from fire

Our moat in AZ is only slightly smaller

G leading the way back to Harajuku for one last shopping trip

In queue at Stussy

Walking the closed streets in Ginza, shoppers rule on the weekends

After our final amazing sushi dinner at the old fish market

Japan has nice things

At the lounge before headed back.  Slightly shorter flight to Calgary.

After 9 years, my camera lens screws at the mount came loose during the trip which made the pictures seem soft or off someway.  Very difficult to put this together and make it look somewhat presentable.
