Tokyo 6 - Kyoto Nijo Castle, Compasso Teramachi food market, Fushimi Inari Shrine and not seen the Sanjusangen do Temple (no pictures allowed but spectacular)

The Aquaphor

Mainland Chinese favorite Instagram pose, we used this to photobomb people blocking busy tourist areas trying to get "the shot", here at Nijo Castle a gift by Shogun to the emperor of Japan as a reminder of who has real power, the real power is the photobomb!  Ha!

Ai is good but unable to remove all distractions

Built in such a way that each area was another way to stop an attack.  Low ceilings (hard to use a sword in low ceiling areas) and many symbols of power (tigers that Japanese artist had never seen in person) are throughout.

Many symbols of life and power in this waterscape

 A dry gutter

Shrines everywhere (there are several thousand in Kyoto alone), we stopped by a famous shopping area, the Compasso Teramachi with, surprise, a shrine.

Fushimi Inari Shrine

Tea ceremony, amazing and fun.  The welcome treat

Macha tea uses the same leaves as any other tea, just not fermented and grown in the shade

Boys are given the special attention by our host

Showing respect

G making the tea, he's a master.  Men often hosted tea ceremony with origins tied to the samurai

One of the few rainy days

Metal work in Japan never disappoints even for a manhole cover

Stopped by the Kyoto International Manga Museum
